Mosiah 3-5

"His blood atoneth for the sins of those who have fallen by the transgression of Adam, who have died not knowing the will of God concerning them, or who have ignorantly sinned." -Mosiah 3:11

This verse reveals a lot about Christ's character. Christ atoned for the sins of everyone. That's right. Every person who has ever lived upon the earth has the chance to use the atonement. Christ atoned for us all even though he knew that most of us would never even hear of his name while on this earth. He atoned for us all even though he knew that a great number of us would choose to not use the atonement and would choose captivity and death. He even atoned for these people out of complete love and out of the hope that they would someday choose to use his gift.

"Believe in God; believe that he is, and that he created all things, both in heaven and in earth; believe that he has all wisdom, and all power, both in heaven and in earth; believe that man doth not comprehend all the things which the Lord can comprehend." - Mosiah 4:9

Many of us have the desire to learn everything there is to learn about the universe, but that is not God's plan for us. It is frustrating to not understand everything, but we need to trust God because he knows what is best for us. This scripture says that men don't understand the mysteries of God, but someday we will become Gods and Goddesses, and then I believe that God will tell us everything we wish to know.
