Christ, aside from understanding everything we have ever or will ever go through, knows the thoughts of our hearts. He can hear our thoughts, and the Holy Ghost puts thoughts into our hearts. He always knows what we need before we ask for it, and he knows of our good intentions, even though sometimes those intentions don't work out the way we had hoped. Christ is always with us. Watching us. Guiding us. Helping us. We can pray at any time. Think about that. We can have a conversation with our Heavenly Father, who is the most powerful being in the entire universe, at any time. Even more amazing than that, he listens and responds back. I am so grateful that I have the knowledge of my Savior, Jesus Christ, and my Heavenly Father. I only hope that I express that gratitude enough.
"I will also ease the burdens which are put on your shoulders, that even you cannot feel them upon your backs." Mosiah 24:14
The interesting thing about this line is that in the chapter heading it states that "the Lord makes their burdens seem light. This is the enabling power of the atonement which, as stated in class, is something we should all take the time to understand better. Sometimes Christ doesn't take the pain away. Instead, he helps us through the pain. You can do anything through Christ.
